History of
The Blooming Iris
Back in 2023 Katelyn wanted to learn how to create art with resin. She spent weeks dreaming up the idea and even sketched a logo with a friend just to find out she was pregnant. Not knowing how to use resin or the affects it could have on a baby she paused the idea. For a year Katelyn looked at the sketched logo on her counter and in August 2024 on a Wednesday night she decided to go for it and poured her first resin! Safe to say it looked terrible but it was a start. She then spent 6 months experimenting, failing, consulting professionals and dreaming of what the
business could be. In January 2025 The Blooming Iris went from a dream to a business! Through her successes and support Katelyn has added two members to the team to take this dream to the next level! The Blooming Iris is just getting started and we are happy to have you join the journey!
​About our Logo. Katelyn had a very special bond with her grandmother (Mimi) whose favorite flower was an iris. Life is ever changing and we are always blooming so Katelyn chose the name The Blooming Iris to represent life and the beauty it can give you. The three flowers in the logo are the lilies of the valley to represent a May birthday for Katelyn's daughter, the iris for her Mimi and a marigold to represent the month of October in which Katelyn got married, Pam got married and Kristin got engaged. Everything we do here has meaning behind it and your story will be no different!

The foundation of this business and our lives is our faith in the Creator of the universe and the beauty that surrounds us! This business is bigger than flowers- it is to glorify God and His love for all of us. He created you just as beautiful as the moments and flowers we are preserving. In Mathew 6:28-30 Jesus tells us to consider the lilies and see how they do not have a worry because God takes care of them. He does the same in all of our lives if we let Him. We want you to know that you are loved by a God who meets you where you are at and wants a relationship with you!
